Randolph Construction Company was founded in 1993 by Randy Randolph to build fine custom homes. But Randys love affair with construction started much earlier. His father had started Restoration Inc-Randolph in Richmond shortly after moving his family there to restore old historic homes. They were among those first pioneers who started working in the Church Hill area of Richmond in the early 70s. It was here that, as a teenager, Randy began to realize his affinity and fondness for craftsmanship and to learn the skills that would become so important later on. In 1987 Randy went to work for Rappahannock Concrete and while managing the Saluda plant, he was given the assignment to oversee the construction of their new office building. That rekindeled his love for construction and prompted him to start Randolph Construction Company. Shortly thereafter, he was approached by his father-in-law with a question. Would you build me a house in Gloucester? The answer was yes, of course, and Randolph Construction Company was off and running.
